Funmi Ogbue holds an MSc in organisational change and development from the University of Manchester, and a BSc in sociology from the University of Lagos. As co-founder of Zigma , Funmi has taken what began as an oil and Gas Service company to an intergrated oil and gas company positioned to take advantage of the current commercial and regulatory environment, operate in a lean and mean manner and extract value from all opportunities we have. Prior to working in Zigma Funmi has worked at start-up phase 3 E&P companies – Abacan Resources Inc (Technical Partner to Alfred James Petroleum, Amni Petroleum and Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum), Canadian Occidental Petroleum, which later became Nexen, Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCO). In these companies Funmi held various roles in Admin, Finance, Economics and Planning, New Ventures , Procurement and Human Resources. Funmi’s roles have also included Human Resources Director at British American Tobacco, and senior HR positions in multinational companies such as Mercer Mergers and Acquisition in the UK. In 2012 she was appointed head of human resources for the newly privatised Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Limited (IBEDC). Funmi also worked in Jake Riley where she has led many public sector reform projects and has close relationships and understanding of the Oil and Gas regulatory framework having been involved in the Oil and Gas Policy review effort.
